The mechanical specifications of this vice are the same as those of the manual MTF/59 model. A hydraulic cylinder which is operated by a hydraulic pedal pump is connected to the central screw controlling the automatic opening and closing of the vice.

This feature makes this vice suitable for mass production machining operations. The hydraulic pedal pump operates on 4-8 bar compressed air. The 3000 kg clamping force is preset during testing and cannot be adjusted by the operator. The automatic closing stroke is about 10 mm with continuous 3 mm increments, in order to comply with accident prevention standards.
The pump’s oil pressure delivery is about 150 kg/cm2. This model is fitted with ground flat jaws made of casehardened and tempered steel. Prismatic jaws to clamp cylindrical pieces are available on request. The vice comes ready for use with the preset pedal pump, fitted high pressure rubber tube, and an exhaustive instruction manual.
